The 2012 Azimut Magellano 50 combines distinctive Italian design with comfortable, economical long-range cruising. This versatile motor yacht features Azimut's Dual Mode semi-displacement hull, generous accommodation and an extensive equipment specification. The owner completed a refurbishment in late 2018 and has maintained the yacht with care.
Designed for extended passages, the Azimut Magellano 50 offers an excellent balance between cruising efficiency and performance. Twin Cummins QSB 5.9 diesel engines deliver a maximum speed of approximately 20 knots, while a cruising speed of around 16 knots provides a comfortable option for covering longer distances. This yacht carries ample fuel and fresh water reserves, allowing owners to enjoy greater freedom when exploring Thailand's coastlines and the wider cruising grounds of Southeast Asia.
The Xenta joystick control integrates with the engines and bow thruster to simplify close-quarters manoeuvring. The yacht features both a Seakeeper gyro stabiliser and a Wesmar fin stabiliser. This combination enhances onboard comfort at anchor and while underway. A Humphree automatic trim system further supports efficient handling. A 20 kW generator and 60,000 BTU air-conditioning system provide dependable comfort during extended stays on board.
The Azimut Magellano 50 provides three guest cabins, six berths and two head compartments. The layout suits family cruising, longer private journeys or relaxed escapes with friends. Azimut's interior design team created the interior concept, while Cor D. Rover Yacht Design shaped the distinctive exterior profile. Together, these elements give the yacht an elegant yet purposeful character.
