About this vessel
This is an extremely well thought out 2500 UltraXL with custom features including through hull transducers, custom roof hatches, sliding back windows, and raised rod holders for a custom canopy and roof top game poles.
The boat features a full Furuno package with twin auto pilots, radar, 3kw through hull transducer, TZT16 and 3D mapping, and Furuno VHF. The 20hp engine can be fully raised and lowered from the cabin and has an auto pilot.
Rod holders are thoughtfully designed to allow deep dropping and swinging the rod, working well with bent butt rods when used at correct angles. Underwater lights and a Fusion sound system with built-in sub provide entertainment. Built-in heating keeps the windscreen clear and warm in winter. Three massive batteries (two 160 amp house batteries) power all the gear when anchored overnight, with a built-in battery charger for land use.
Standard amenities include a cook top, fridge, sink, and fresh water tank. The boat sleeps four comfortably. The bait board remains like new, having always been used with chopping boards. The canopy includes two sets of sides—canvas for warmth or nets for bug protection—making it an exploring weapon particularly suited to Fiordland.
The boat has over 500 hours and featured in an epic ITM fishing 5-day mission split into two shows with 4 episodes on South Sea Spearos, going down to Solander Island where six slept overnight, followed by several Fiordland missions including an insane tuna afternoon that made an epic TV show.
