This Axopar 29 Center Console Crossover (CCX) is designed and kitted out for fishing. As a boat show demonstrator and stock boat currently based in Queensland, it has low hours and can quickly be shipped to clients in New Zealand for a fast delivery.
The specification is very good. She is powered by twin 200hp Mercury V6 outboards with White Cold Fusion cowlings, matched with the BRABUS Line Trim providing black powercoated metalwork and the upgraded Lintex Upholstery in Chalk.
The front of the Axopar 29 CCX follows the same familiar layout as the other Axopar 29 models, with a comfortable double cabin with head and sink under the foredeck and good U-shape seating and a table in the bow. The fishing hints become apparent when you find the macerated fish box hidden under one of the seats, together with the included Trolling Engine preparation.
Although the walkaround design allows for fishing from almost anywhere on the boat, the cockpit area is where the fishing upgrades are most obvious. A main bait station just behind the helm seats has a live baitwell, sink, cutting boards and tackle storage. To the aft is a folding leaning post which converts into a rear seat when heading to the fishing spots. There are many more upgrades that are not as easy to notice, such as the raised floor to fit the larger 600L fuel tank, the raised gunnels with soft leaning pads, and the hidden hand rails. The short roof of the CCX provides more open deck space while also delivering excellent weather protection to those at the helm.
The electronics at the helm are well sorted, with twin Simrad NSX 12" displays, Active Imaging 3-in-1 Echo Sounder, HALO20+ Radar and VHF Radio. Controls for the Trim Tabs and Bow Thruster are also within easy reach. There is also the Premium JL Audio Stereo system with 8 pairs of speakers and a subwoofer. The lighting package includes various spotlights and deck lighting for any situation, with working lights, underwater lights and washdown pumps also integrated. When away from shore power, the batteries are topped up via the solar panel.
