About this vessel
This Coast Guard 65' x 20' x 6.3' shrimper has been meticulously maintained. Dry docked in September 2021, the hull was blasted and finished with 4 coats. The prop and stainless steel shaft have been trued, and a new cutlass bearing was installed. The rudder features a new stainless steel tube and bearings. All anodes are new, and new keel coolers have been installed.
The engine room reflects extensive investment: an 855 Cummins Big Cam 400hp engine was rebuilt in November 2021 with 100 hours on it. A twin disc 514 5:1 transmission drives a 4-blade Nibral Swayback propeller (58" x 44"). The 3" stainless steel shaft was reworked in September 2021. An Isuzu 4BG1T 65 KW generator, new in 2020, provides auxiliary power.
The working deck and fish handling systems are comprehensively equipped. Electric and hydraulic steering is installed, with an electric capstan on the bow for anchor handling. Hydraulic winches include a 2-drum pump and dump main winch and a hydraulic winch for bags. An electric winch handles bag transfer. Winches are driven by the main engine via electric clutch. The brine tank and plates are stainless steel with a stainless steel agitator. A blast freezer system was installed in March 2021, and the fish hold was renewed in 2021. A stainless steel condenser was installed in 2021. An Abartrol helm controls the vessel, with Morse engine controls.
The owner has taken great care of this vessel. Everything is new or renewed throughout.
