About this vessel
Light, spacious and welcoming, the main saloon of the Azimut 85 Ultimate is the apogee of understated elegance. The 85 Ultimate has a comfortable rounded sofa aside the modern pilot station. In addition, the elegance of the owner's stateroom is perfectly blended with an excellent use of space, while mirrors and light colors enhance the spaciousness of the owner's sumptuous bathroom. The comfortable VIP cabin is located in the bow of the yacht.
Over $200,000 spent updating GRAVITY which included installing two new 32kW Kohler generators, new hot water heater, dive compressor, MBR 1400/Wave WiFi and a $30,000 interior refit by Mary Mahoney. Updated electronics, new cabinetry, two new SeaKeepers, new paint (top side and hull), underwater lights and the latest entertainment package was another cost investment to modernize GRAVITY. The new electrical system installed allows the owner limitless possibilities on cruising destinations, in addition to a new remote control docking system which allows the entire yacht to be run from any location including the dock.
In 2017, the galley was updated installing a Kitchen-Aid side by side dual refrigerator with below freezer drawer as well as other updates.
In 2025 the owner installed new flooring and resurfaced the interior teak.
Accommodations / Walkthrough
From the aft deck, you enter the main salon via a curved sliding glass door. You are greeted by custom cherry woodwork throughout, two custom leather settees to the port and starboard with indirect lighting underneath.
GRAVITY has four well-appointed staterooms each with ensuite heads with custom flooring and paneled ceilings with recessed lighting. The formal dining area is forward of the seating area and to starboard, with the galley to the port. Forward to starboard is the curved stairs leading down to the master, VIP and guest staterooms. The crew quarters are aft and will accommodate three crew comfortably, allowing for complete privacy for the owner and guests.
Salon
Enter the main salon from the aft deck via curved sliding glass doors. Subtle elegance abounds with beautiful custom cherry woodwork, curved leather couches, custom carpeting, paneled ceilings with recessed lighting and coordinated roman shades over expansive tempered glass windows.
Galley
The well-appointed galley is situated off the main salon and is equipped with a sliding tambor partition to close it off from the salon when necessary. The galley features marble countertops, built in Frigo-Boat refrigeration, cherry cabinetry, and new appliances.
Master Stateroom
The large full beam master situated amidships offers a feeling of refined luxury. The wood is enveloped in beautiful gloss cherry woodwork and boasts a queen size berth with built-in nightstands. A curved suede leather settee, vanity station, walk in closet, entertainment center and custom recessed lighting.
Master Head
Features mirrored bulkheads, Vacu-Flush toilet with bidet, marble floor, overhead recessed lighting, and an enclosed shower with bi-fold doors and multiple spray shower head unit.
VIP Stateroom
The spacious VIP stateroom is situated forward and boasts custom cherry woodwork and a queen berth with his and hers nightstands.
VIP Head
Features marble vanity with sink, Vacu-Flush toilet, marble floor, and a multiple spray shower system.
Guest Staterooms
Port and starboard guest staterooms each feature twin lower berths with custom foam mattresses and additional pullman berths with custom foam mattresses. The starboard stateroom is equipped with built-in office workspace, counter and drawers opposite single berth and pullman overhead. Both feature indirect lighting under beds, nightstands, wardrobe hanging lockers, and ample storage drawers below beds.
Crew Quarters
Accessed via watertight door at the port side deck, the crew quarters is aft of the engine room and features two cabins that sleep three comfortably. There are two full heads with shower and stacked washer/dryer.
Pilothouse
The well laid out pilothouse features a beautiful helm station equipped with MTU gauges. To the port there is a large and comfortable dinette with leather settee, cherry wood table and seating for five with overhead recessed lighting. The pilothouse includes a watertight bulkhead to port and Teak Holly flooring.
Flybridge
Wide flybridge accessible from the external staircase in cockpit with teak steps. The flybridge features seating for eight to ten at the main table, a Balboa 5002 series Jacuzzi, windscreen in plexiglass and steel, wet bar and grill covered with refrigerator below, helm settee with three seats and backrest for two seats, central storage cabinet with door, u-shaped upholstered seating area to port, teak table on central removable station, storage cabinet on the starboard side next to the bar cabinet, and teak decks.
Engine Room
The engine room is accessed via a watertight door to the port and forward of the crew quarters. It features two MTU 2000s and two 32kW Kohler generators installed new in 2016. A 2000 hour service was completed July 2022. Additional features include water pumps (new 2021), dual Racor Filter, MTU electronic controls, watermaker, BCS bow thruster, 5-bladed propeller, 3.5" stainless steel propeller shafts, hydraulic steering gear, and Crusair direct air conditioning.
Tender Garage
The tender garage includes a Sea Nymph Bob, two Yamaha Scout Explorers, and a Bauer Dive compressor. A tender is an 11' 6" Brig Rib (2016) with 20hp four-stroke Mercury outboard engine (2022).
