The Azimut Magellano 50 is a high-altitude, long-range cruising motor yacht conceived by the prestigious Italian shipyard Azimut Yachts. Designed by naval architect Bill Dixon, she stands out in the used market for her focus on efficiency, comfort on long voyages and exceptionally smooth sailing in rough seas thanks to her innovative hybrid hull.
The most revolutionary feature of the Magellano 50 is its dual mode semi-displacement hull. Its almost vertical bow integrated with inverted section sections drastically reduces the impact of waves ("slamming"). This allows fluid transition between pure travel and planing speeds.
The Magellano 50 was designed under strict sustainability and safety criteria, achieving the RINA Green Plus ecological certification at its launch. Its interior stands out for its noble Canaletto walnut woods, upholstery from luxury brands such as Loro Piana (in its first edition) and leather without chrome treatments.
Its living room is extremely bright thanks to the large perimeter windows. It has a full kitchen at the entrance (connected to the cockpit) and a command post with total 360-degree visibility.
It offers a cockpit protected by high handrails (very safe for children), a lounge area in the bow with facing sofas (a pioneering design in its size) and a spacious flybridge with a secondary helm station, dining table and solarium area.
Usually configured with 3 cabins and 2 bathrooms (Owner's cabin mid-beam with en-suite bathroom, VIP cabin in the bow and an additional double cabin with 2 bunk beds). Some versions replaced the third stateroom with a lower living room/dinette.
