The Poseidon is a CM 60 offshore racing sailboat designed by Bruce Farr and built by Carroll Marine in 1998. Previously named Hi Fling, Numbers, and Stars & Stripes, she was sailed from San Diego to New Zealand and competed in local races. She is currently moored in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand.
Built of carbon fiber composite construction, the yacht features loads of interior space and a large workable cockpit. She is an exciting and easily handled yacht and a competitive IRC racer. The Poseidon is very fast for its size with excellent handling ability and an emphasis on light-air performance with substantial downwind sail area.
The deck layout is designed for racing with twin wheels and twin primary grinder pedestals. A custom cradle has been built for her and will be part of the sale for shipping if needed. The current owners have moved on to other vessels after five years of ownership.
