Design and Layout
The 48 Cantius introduced a trend-setting "double salon" layout, featuring an upper salon with a helm that overlooks a lower-level salon and galley, creating an atrium-like effect with abundant natural light. Large windows, a six-foot sunroof, and triple sliding glass doors enhance the open, airy feel.
Cockpit and Deck
The aft deck has U-shaped seating with a table, a wet bar with refrigerator, icemaker, and grill, and genuine teak decking. Dual side gates and molded steps provide easy access to the cockpit and side walkways. The spacious bow includes a chaise lounge, windlass, and full bow railing.

Performance
Equipped with Volvo IPS pod drives, the yacht handles smoothly, with minimal bow rise during acceleration, excellent rough-weather seakeeping, and low vibrations. The IPS drives enhance dockside maneuverability and stability in turns. Testers reported excellent handling, with the IPS drives making docking easy and the boat carving turns like a deep-V hull. The ride is smooth with minimal noise and vibration.
Build Quality
The construction is highlighted for its durability, with high-quality materials like stainless-steel fittings, isophthalic laminating resin, and methyl-methacrylate adhesives (Plexus). Hatches and lids are RTM-molded for strength and weight efficiency.
