The Formosa X Bowrider is designed to do it all. Whether you’re taking the family out skiing or wakeboarding one day, and transforming it for offshore fishing the next, this versatile boat has you covered. The unique hardtop design and adaptable layout make the X Bowrider perfect for enjoying Australia’s amazing waters and turning heads wherever you go.
The Formosa X Bowrider offers three key entertainment areas. At the bow, the forward cushioned seating with ample storage makes it ideal for the kids to relax. When it’s time to fish, simply remove the cushions, add the casting deck centreboard, and convert it to a spacious fishing deck for you and your mates. The centreboard stows conveniently under the passenger console, ensuring the space remains uncluttered.
For comfortable driving, particularly when venturing offshore, the X Bowrider features a higher dash and two embroidered, high-back contoured Bolster Seats mounted on aluminium storage boxes with hatches. The large driving dash is covered by Formosa’s unique Wake Tower, which comes with an aluminium hardtop visor, three grab rails, and a ski/wake pole welded on top. The tower is designed to fold backwards, making it easier to store the boat. The ‘knuckle’ design features exposed perforated aluminium plates that are ideal for housing speakers, making sure your soundtrack accompanies every adventure.
The large rear deck area of the X Bowrider includes a lounge that can be folded up flush with the transom or removed completely, adding to its versatility.
Standard features on the X Bowrider include a large aluminium bowroller, 32mm handrails, Tow-Catch™ Trailer capabilities, a heavy-duty dive ladder, SeaStar Hydraulic Steering, a moulded fuel tank with sender and filter, automatic bilge pump, transom deck tread, foam-filled hull, electrical harness kit, three cleats, and four aluminium rod holders. The boat also comes finished in white paint with Formosa graphics for a sleek and polished look. For added functionality, consider the popular Full Access ‘Active Transom’ option, which opens up the transom area to create the ultimate water access or an open lounge area.
Formosa boats are renowned for their stability, and the Quad4™ Water Ballast system enhances this even further, particularly in offshore conditions. From March 2023, the Quad4™ Water Ballast system will be included as standard in all new X Bowrider orders.
*Pro Deck is an upgrade option on models 4.95m – 5.95m. It comes standard on 6.35m and larger models.

Formosa boats are renowned for their spacious decks, extending all the way to the bow. Several key design elements combine to create this generous space, including the perfect balance of deadrise, reverse chine, wide beam, generous freeboard, and ergonomic layout. These features make the boat feel larger than its size, offering a stable platform for all-day enjoyment on the water.
While some boats with sharper deadrises may cut travel time slightly, they often sacrifice comfort and space—especially on long, rough days with multiple passengers. At Formosa, we believe performance isn’t just about speed, but also about comfort at rest. Compare a Formosa to others on the market and you’ll be surprised by the space it offers.
Formosa Marine offers a 4-year warranty on the hull structure to the original purchaser, covering any defects in material or workmanship on all hulls built from 2018 onwards. Additionally, there’s a 1-year warranty for all Formosa Marine factory-fitted parts and accessories, including cabins, launchers, tops, fittings, and optional extras, which may experience movement with use.

The innovative Quad4™ Water Ballast system features an industry-leading ‘Off Keel’ counterbalance design, providing unparalleled on-water stability. Unlike traditional keel ballasts, the Quad4™ uses four chambers, combined with a wide beam and reverse chine hull, to minimise hull roll caused by swells or internal passenger movement.
When underway, the longitudinal stringers empty rapidly, allowing the boat to get on plane seamlessly without compromising performance. This advanced system is now standard on all Formosa models from March 2023, offering you a stable and smooth ride, no matter the conditions.
