"1 Freedom 1" is an especially fine example of the Grand Banks Eastbay 49 Salon Express (SX) model with the factory hard-back salon enclosure versus the soft-back canvas enclosure found on the Hardtop Express (HX) model. This feature provides for a "true salon" which is finished to a much higher degree than that of the soft-back models (which are more exposed to the elements), and the space can be locked for added security and comfort.
"1 Freedom 1" has been lovingly owned and kept in tip-top form. The hull is painted with Awl Grip in "San Mateo Wheat". She features a unique layout with a larger than standard Master Stateroom and Office. The cockpit includes teak decking, and benefits from an electric grill and ice maker, both new in 2020. A hydraulic TNT swim platform was rebuilt in 2022 with a new dinghy cradle added in 2023. Poseidon pleated shades have been installed throughout the salon, all windows, windshield, and aft door as of 2020.
