A RARE GEM
SPHEREFISH is one of the very few 86' Hatteras Convertibles ever built. Powered by MTU 16V-2000, it cruises comfortably at 18 knots with a top speed of 24 knots, and its 5,000 gallon fuel capacity provides extended range. Her highly customized high-gloss cherry interior features a four-cabin layout to include the Captain, her VIPs, and two twin cabins. Two separate crew cabins are located at the private aft with cockpit access.
REFIT (2020 - 2021)
The vessel underwent comprehensive refurbishment including new bridge cowl cylinders, cleaning and expanded access to diesel tanks with 34 fillers, refurbishment of guest, VIP, and Master cabin linings, and repair of ceiling linings. New covers and awnings were installed for the fishing armchair, saloon cockpit, lounge cockpit with privacy screen, and bench seats with exterior wheelhouse coverage. New heather gray exterior upholstery and black screen protection were added for sun protection. The interior received complete varnish resumption and gilding of all spots, cupboard handles, and door handles.
Navigation and electronics upgrades included two new B&G Display H5000 wind indicators and a new Furuno probe for sonar, along with four Erans Led LCD displays for plotter, radar, and CCTV. The vessel received 11 FENDERTEX rebates, a complete overhaul of Cruise Air Dometic air conditioning, new mirrors and lighted cabin tower mirrors, and a complete box new original MTU turbo exhaust with a new P1200BXT-SP 1200 Dometic air conditioning unit.
The galley and laundry were upgraded with a Miele G6835 SCVI Dishwasher, Miele WWB 0250 WCD washing machine, and Miele T7644C dryer. The vessel also received full inspection of extinguishers and life rafts, two new watermaker membranes, overhaul of outrigger cylinders, and replacement of all 17 seawater valves. Underwater maintenance included underwater lights review, fairing with Antifouling Hempel Globic 9000, new propeller shaft bushings, and new anodes. Additional updates included a new 100m anchor chain with 90 kg anchor, new carpet in the guest area, new 4K TVs in the living room and Master cabin, a new camera, and installation of a small footbridge to the quay.
