The 422 Stryker delivers a compact yet highly capable fishing platform built on Horizon's Hydro Lift hull with reverse chines for impressive stability, handling and durability. At 4.30 metres overall with a generous 2.06 metre beam and 1.10 metre depth, it provides a solid, confidence-inspiring ride for inshore and estuary work while still being easy to tow, launch and retrieve.
Constructed with 3 mm pressed bottom sheets and 3 mm smooth side sheets, the 422 Stryker is designed for strength and longevity. A checkerplate foredeck, welded cross thwarts front and rear, and fully welded extruded side decks underpin a robust structure, while cross-thwart flotation contributes to safety and buoyancy. The hull is matched to a recommended 30 hp outboard, with capacity up to 50 hp, and is rated for up to four people.
Fishing functionality is central to the design, with a casting deck incorporating a hatch off the front seat, side pockets with sounder mount, and a carpeted low floor with frames for secure footing. Practical features such as a self-draining anchor well, bow rails and bowsprit, side rails, twin rear steps with rails, bilge pump and transducer brackets, and screw-in bungs make the boat easy to set up and maintain. The inclusion of RAILBLAZA TracLoader coaming adds flexible mounting options for rod holders and accessories, while striping and an Australian Builders Plate with Captains Pack round out a well-appointed, ready-to-fit-out fishing package.
