Kiwi Kraft 470 Cuddy is a compact, alloy pontoon boat built to New Zealand CPC standard and MSA specifications, designed to offer a secure, soft-riding platform for inshore and sheltered offshore fishing. Its multiple sealed pontoon buoyancy chambers and Hush Tec technology contribute to superior performance, safety and noise reduction on the water.
The hull construction features 3 mm alloy for the hull, pontoons and topsides with a 4 mm alloy floor, delivering a robust yet relatively light 299 kg hull weight. With an overall length of 4.7 m, a beam of 1.935 m and an internal beam of 1.35 m, the 470 Cuddy is trailerable, easy to handle and well suited to smaller tow vehicles while still providing a stable, high-freeboard fishing platform.
The layout centres around a compact cuddy cabin forward with a foredeck hatch, high gunnels (700 mm floor to gunnel), rear boarding platform and functional cockpit space. Standard equipment includes rotary non-feedback steering, an outboard pod, small fillet board, transom rail with ski hook, rod holders and ample storage solutions such as side pockets, a battery shelf and battery box with ISO switch.
The 470 Cuddy is configured for tote tank fuel and is rated to a maximum of 60 hp outboard, carrying up to four persons on board (4 POB). It is set up for fishing and general family boating, with standard bilge pump, transducer mount and water pick-up and valve assembly, and can be further customised via a wide range of optional extras including live bait tank, deck wash, boarding ladder, rocket launcher and various anchoring systems.
