The SLR 610 Cuddy Cabin is a versatile 6.1-metre fibreglass cuddy designed to deliver turn-key boating for Kiwi families and keen fishers alike. With a generous cockpit, practical cuddy shelter and a soft-riding hull, it balances inshore comfort with the capability to range further afield on suitable days.
This package is configured with a Suzuki DF140BTL four-stroke outboard on a deluxe tandem multi-roller trailer, matched to a hull rated for up to 250 hp. The 610’s layout focuses on safe, easy movement around the boat, with a walk-through transom and door, full-width moulded bowsprit and easy-access foredeck cabin hatch for straightforward anchoring.
Construction centres on a strong, hand-laid woven roving fibreglass hull with foam core stringers and an integrally bonded full internal cockpit liner. Polyurethane underfloor foam provides extra buoyancy, while separated, deck-accessed anchor locker and large underfloor storage locker keep gear organised and weight low. Large cockpit side pockets, bait bin and stainless deck fitting with deluxe fairlead roller support fishing duties.
On deck, the 610 Cuddy Cabin features a deluxe moulded windscreen with handrail, superior cockpit floor area and large safety deck rails mounted to the foredeck. Standard fit-out includes rotary steering with wheel, electric bilge pump, battery box and isolation switch, navigation lights and a folding rear lounge seat and backrest. Optional upgrades fitted to this package add further usability, such as a boarding ladder, ski pole and back-to-back port-side seating to suit family watersports.
The helm and cockpit can be tailored with soft rider pedestals, high-back bolster seats with sliders and hydraulic steering, while a rocket launcher on the hardtop with grab rails and rod holders boosts fishing capacity. Underfloor fuel capacity is approximately 165 litres, and a live bait tank is fitted (not plumbed in standard form), giving a solid platform for serious fishing missions. Cockpit Nu Deck flooring across the transom and deck improves comfort and footing under way.
Electronics options on this package include a Simrad/Lowrance 9-inch display with transducer and charts, plus VHF radio with aerial. Combined with the hull’s 6.25-metre overall length, 2.49-metre beam and approximately 1,700 kg tow weight on the tandem trailer, the SLR 610 Cuddy Cabin presents as a well-sorted, easily towed fibreglass cuddy that is ready for fishing, family cruising and watersports straight off the trailer.
