Overview
About this vessel
The SLR 690 Hard Top is a 6.9-metre fibreglass offshore sportfisher designed as a fully equipped, turn-key package for serious coastal adventures and comfortable family days on the water. Its deep, hand-laid hull with foam-core stringers and polyurethane underfloor foam delivers a soft, secure ride, while the hardtop with safety-glass windscreen and sliding side windows provides excellent all-weather protection.
Inside, the cabin features deluxe upholstered squabs and linings, complemented by an integrally bonded internal liner with a non-slip, easy-clean floor. A walk-through transom with door, moulded swim platforms, large cockpit side pockets and a generous underfloor storage locker create a versatile deck layout for fishing, diving and cruising. Practical touches such as a separated, deck-accessed anchor locker, full-width moulded bow sprit, upgraded stainless-steel nose fairlead roller and easy-access foredeck hatch make anchoring and docking straightforward.
The cockpit is set up for anglers, with large side pockets, multiple stainless-steel rod holders, a live bait tank (unplumbed) and a rocket launcher on the hard top with integrated grab rails and rod storage. Comfort underway is enhanced by twin Softrider pedestal seats with upholstered bolster seats on sliders, a folding rear lounge with backrest and a deluxe back-to-back bolster seat on the port side. Cockpit Nu Deck flooring across the deck and transom improves grip, comfort and ease of washdown.
This package is powered by a Suzuki DF200 four-stroke outboard with an upgrade path to the digital DF200APX, matched to a braked tandem multi-roller trailer with stainless-steel brakes, extra rollers and alloy wheels for confident towing. Hydraulic steering, navigation lights, an electric bilge pump, battery box with isolation switch and quality stainless-steel deck hardware underline the ready-to-go nature of the package. Electronics are taken care of with a Garmin 95SV combo with transducer, charts and antenna, plus VHF radio and aerial professionally installed.
With a hull length just under 6.9 metres, a 2.5-metre beam and an approximate tow weight of 2,100 kg, the SLR 690 Hard Top balances offshore capability with manageable towing and launching. Generous safety rails on the foredeck, easy bow access for anchoring duties and integrated swim platforms round out a capable all-rounder for Kiwi boaties looking to escape the city and head for open water.
