About this vessel

The boat features full carbon rigging upgrades and a carbon twin back stay installed in 2024. A full 3D scan was performed to align keel and rudder and optimize the symmetrics of the boat. Full teak was renewed in 2024. The boat is one of the lightest Swan 50s ever built, with a specific focus on minimum weight class specification.
The construction is in full pre-preg and Sprint carbon fiber. The structures were designed in complete compliance to ISO Standards. The weight of all the structural components, including the keel fin, is just over 2,000 kg. The keel fin itself is only 160 kg and built mostly of high modulus carbon fiber. The structural criteria for the carbon fin was specifically focused on eliminating flutter as well as satisfying GL Standard and recommendations.
Set Sail North full set race sails were used for just one race in 2023. A second set of sails for training dates from 2022.
