The 70e is built for both comfort and performance, capable of handling long-distance cruises as well as faster day trips. The yacht's hull design helps with fuel efficiency while maintaining smooth handling in a variety of conditions.
One piece molded hull and deck using vinylester resin with vacuum infusion, along with high density fiberglass mat and roving, marine grade structural foam for robust temperature resistivity and thermal as well as acoustic insulation. Reinforced collision bulkhead forward. All exterior surfaces are painted with professional grade Alexseal polyurethane paint along with epoxy based primers. 2" elliptical 316L stainless steel handrails and stanchions provide better grip and safety. Weather tight bulkheads provide further sound and temperature insulation. Longitudinal marine grade aluminum beams provide greater rigidity. Bronze through-hull fittings. The vessel's bonding and grounding system includes copper straps secured to the hull and running the full length of the vessel, with all machinery and systems equipment connected to this bonding strap.
The interior is contemporary and luxurious, with an emphasis on open spaces, natural light, and premium materials including marble, wood, and leather. Evan K. Marshall designed interior spaces with matching woods and designer fabrics. Stained wood paneling and cabinetry, European door handles and stainless hardware, and satin varnish on interior woods throughout. High ceilings, large windows, and custom finishes make the interior feel bright and airy. Windows are all fixed with flush installation. The electric stainless sliding salon door features a safety light curtain that senses obstruction and includes a foot-kick button control for operation when hands are full.
The Evan K. Marshall custom design salon features furniture and sofas with concealed drawers for intelligent use of space and extra storage. Walnut wood paneling and cabinetry, with enlarged windows providing an industry-leading window expanse for unobstructed views to the outside. A drop-down TV is included.
The yacht includes four generous staterooms: a full-beam primary suite with a center king berth, upholstered headboard, double night stands, port side chase lounge with vanity and computer desk, and a large double private head with stall shower and Grohe fixtures. A safe is located in the cedar lined walk-in hanging locker. Enlarged hull side windows with opening port lights provide cross ventilation. A VIP cabin features a center island queen berth, storage in drawers and hanging locker, and an en-suite head with stall shower. A starboard guest cabin offers twin berths that slide together with access to an en-suite head, while the port side guest cabin features stack berths with storage. A separate crew quarters area includes a single berth with toilet and shower. A passageway laundry includes a Miele stacked washer and dryer. Positive latches on cabinetry, drawers and cupboards throughout. Oversized hanging lockers in guest quarters. Air extraction systems in head compartments. Fabric-covered walls are washable.
The large and conveniently located galley is centrally positioned and designed as a focal point of the main deck amenities. An island with bar stools offers great counter top spaces and central lighting, with ease of access to abundant storage areas and appliances. Drawers and cabinets are all wood construction with fully dovetailed drawers. Appliances include a Franke stainless steel sink with Grohe fixture, Fisher-Paykel upright refrigerator, 30" Jenn-Air microwave, 30" Jenn-Air induction cook top, 30" Jenn-Air convection oven, Jenn-Air stacked additional refrigerator and freezer drawers, Whirlpool garbage disposal, 30" Bosch dishwasher, and 15" Jenn-Air trash compactor. Designed storage spaces for flatware, dinnerware, glassware and pots and pans are included.
Expansive outdoor areas include bow sun pads and dinette, aft deck settee with dining table, and the flybridge with lounge, dining table, and sun pad area which converts to dining. Varnished teak tables and seating are located at the aft deck, bow area and two flybridge areas. Nonskid decking is throughout. Boarding side deck doors are on port and starboard side decks. The flybridge features a large open-air deck on the upper level with hard top over the helm area, seating, dining, sunbathing areas, and a wet bar and BBQ area. The largest flybridge area in its class utilizes the Ocean Alexander cab-forward design, with the flybridge helm moved forward to allow for better visibility and lengthen the total flybridge area available for entertaining.
