Alexander Marine USA is pleased to present Island Breeze, just in time for Opening Day. This owner-operated 72' Ocean Alexander has been moored in a fresh water slip since delivery and has been very well maintained by an experienced captain.
You will find lush new carpet in the salon. The vessel features newer Lithium-Ion Batteries to drive the 5KW Inverter longer with little to no fuss. The owner designed the flybridge enclosure to a factory built level of finish that will give more year round comfort and clear visibility from the flybridge, which now functions as a SkyLounge. This eliminated the canvas on all three sides.
The 72 Pilothouse from Ocean Alexander features a more modern hull that gives better speed with less fuel burn. Ocean Alexander's continuing obsession with engineering, safety and performance is evident throughout. The vessel employs various techniques to reduce sound and vibration, focusing on providing a quiet and comfortable yachting environment through proprietary techniques of controlling sound and noise transmission, including multiple insulation barriers with reflective materials, absorptive materials, dampening materials, air pockets and flexible isolation mounts, resulting in vibration and sound levels that are industry leading.
The hull features vinylester resin with marine grade structural foam, high density allowing for high temperature resistivity and particular advantage in thermal and acoustic insulation. A reinforced collision bulkhead and fiberglass with infusion lamination manufacturing technology provide structural integrity. The exterior is finished with professional grade Alexseal polyurethane paint and epoxy based primers for highest gloss and color retention.
Marine grade aluminum beams provide greater rigidity and monolithic structure, reducing movements and abrasive sounds while underway and allowing for one of the largest uninterrupted glass and window spans in the industry. Cross-knit directional carbon fiber in high stress areas adds structural integrity and torsional strength. All exterior hardware is stainless steel 316 or to manufacturer requirements. Stainless steel handrails and stanchions feature 2" elliptical 316L construction on the main deck and 1-1/2" on the flybridge; the elliptical design provides greater grip strength for safety and comfort.
The fiberglass staircase from cockpit to flybridge features teak steps. Weather-tight bulkheads provide further sound and temperature insulation throughout the vessel.
