About this vessel

We are pleased to announce the Central Agency appointment for the sale of the 53m Oceanfast superyacht MIZU. Built in aluminium and designed for speed and long-range cruising, MIZU offers a rare combination of trans-Atlantic capability, distinctive styling and expansive deck spaces. The yacht has benefitted from refit and upgrade works and presents an attractive opportunity for experienced owners seeking performance and individuality.

Summer 2023 major refits and upgrades included comprehensive service of main engines with lube oil, filters and coolant replacement, major overhaul of seawater pumps, and valve clearance checks. Diesel generators underwent major mechanical overhaul. All sea chests and overboard valves were overhauled or replaced, with bilge pump overboard piping and auxiliary sea water suction piping replaced. The main engines exhaust system saw replacement of compensators and wet exhaust sections as required.

Deck machinery received major overhaul of port and starboard boat deck cranes, anchor windlasses, and capstans, with load testing performed to Bureau Veritas requirements. The aft boarding passerelle was also overhauled. The hydraulic system underwent major overhaul of two PTO pumps, one electrical driven pump, emergency power pack, and bow thruster, with one additional electrical driven pump replaced.

The stabilizers received full overhaul of all four hydraulic cylinders, and flaps underwent full overhaul of hydraulic cylinders. Steering gear hydraulic cylinders were fully overhauled. The air conditioning and refrigeration system saw full service of compressors with oil and freon replacement, condenser cleaning, full overhaul of seawater pumps, fresh water pump replacement, cleaning of all fan coils, and installation of new filters and a new compressor for the deep freezer chamber.

The sewage system underwent full overhaul and the watermaker received chemical cleaning, sand filter replacement, and major overhaul of high pressure pumps and motors. Hull work included replacement of aluminium shell plates as required, zinc anode replacement, and antifouling application. All service and emergency batteries were replaced.

Hull paint received touch up with complete polish. A new vessel monitoring system was installed to Bureau Veritas standards. The wheelhouse saw radar replacement with new NMEA, buffer installation, ECDIS installation, display replacement with new starboard side wing station, tiller control repair, and maneuvering controller repair. The teak sun deck was replaced and main and sun decks were sanded. The cathodic protection system was serviced. New ball bearings and nylon guides were installed in the sliding electric doors. The CCTV system was restored with two new cameras installed in the engine room. All tanks were cleaned and inspected.

2025 updates include QL3 on both engines, new control and monitoring system, new external and internal LED lights, new AI cameras, new electronic panels on flaps and stabilisers, new Sonos sound system and TVs, new floor in crew mess, and new washing machines. Starlink has been installed.
