Her Lorima full-carbon mast, Kevlar standing rigging, Dyneema stays, and carbon structural elements significantly enhance stiffness and performance while reducing weight. The sail plan is equally impressive, with multiple gennakers, storm sails, and optimized furling systems for short-handed or long-distance sailing.
The cockpit and deck layout are designed for both performance and comfort. Carbon davits rated to 380 kg carry a 4.15 m Hypalon tender with a 25 HP Yamaha. Electric Harken winches, ACS safety system, and optimized deck hardware make maneuvers smooth and secure. A custom turquoise matte hull wrap gives Avel Vaez a striking, unmistakable presence in any anchorage.
Inside, the ORC57 offers a bright, modern living space with panoramic views, premium upholstery, and numerous custom enhancements. The salon features extended cabinetry, additional refrigeration, a large dining table for 10, and a redesigned galley with improved storage and ergonomics. The four-cabin layout includes upgraded mattresses, 3D ventilation grids, enhanced lighting, and a custom skipper cabin with superposed berths. Comfort systems include a 105 L/h watermaker, multiple freshwater outlets, and extensive 220 V and USB power distribution.
Avel Vaez is fully equipped for serious offshore cruising and commercial operation. She carries a complete Category A safety kit for 12 persons, Spade anchor with 70 m chain, towing gear, emergency equipment, and commercial vessel compliance for ocean crossing. Her electronics suite is top-tier: NKE performance pack with pilot backup, B&G radar on carbon mast support, Starlink, Iridium 13000 + 9575, and a dedicated navigation computer running TimeZero with Mediterranean and Atlantic charts.
