Extensive Recent Upgrades & Maintenance (2022–2024)

FONTANA has undergone comprehensive upgrades and maintenance throughout 2022–2024. Navigation systems have been completely updated with new Simrad GPS equipment, radar, and autopilot (2022/2023). Stabilizers received a full service with new pipework, raw water pump, and heat exchangers. Hydraulic pipelines, garage door, and Passarella have been renewed.

Engine and generator maintenance has been extensive, including complete service with compression checks, valve, turbo, and cylinder inspections by RPM Diesel. AC systems have been fully serviced: chillers removed and serviced, new plumbing pumps installed or replaced, air handlers removed and serviced, and four new AC units installed with new motors where required, along with new air ducts throughout (2024).

Propulsion running gear has been thoroughly maintained: shafts pulled, checked, and straightened with new cutlass bearings; props balanced (2022 and 2024). Bottom maintenance includes new Sea Hawk bottom paint and PropSpeed applied annually.

Deck and exterior work includes new Maxwell windlasses with reinforced bow deck, new anchor chain (2024), and extensive teak work on the flybridge, bow, and aft deck steps with new caulking throughout (2024). Exterior windows have been re-caulked (2023), and a Ditec protective exterior coating has been applied for three-year protection.

Safety and electrical systems have been upgraded with new house, engine, and generator batteries (2022/2024), new through-hull seacocks throughout (2022/2023), yearly fire suppression system service, and new fire extinguishers (2022). Watermakers have been serviced with new high-pressure pump and membranes (2024).

Interior updates include a new galley oven, refrigerator, stovetop, and extractor fan (2023/2024), as well as new washing machine and dryer (2023). New mattresses have been installed in crew and twin guest cabins (2023). New Ice glass was installed on the flybridge (2022).
