Built by Tamsen Yachts in 2009, a distinguished Turkish shipyard, M/Y GEMS II has been meticulously maintained since its inception until 2024, undergoing continuous maintenance and refit works both inside and out. In 2022, the yacht was equipped with new gyroscopic 0 speed stabilizers, significantly enhancing onboard comfort. In 2024, the 15 year RINA was due but unfortunately was never realised, with the consequence that GEMS II was not able to perform any charters in 2024.
Stepping on board GEMS II is an experience in itself; guests are immediately enveloped in a modern and inviting atmosphere, where they'll feel instantly at ease, with subtle touches of luxury enhancing the overall ambiance. Her masculine lines and grey hull turn heads in ports, with an 8.6-meter beam that creates a voluminous hull with a generous amount of space below deck.
At the stern there is a large sunpad and an extendable table for alfresco dining. Depending on how many chairs you add, it comfortably seats 10-12 guests.
Composed of a large U-shaped settee surrounding a jacuzzi and two tables. Further forward are the two anchor windlasses and two 10 person life rafts; two 20 person life rafts are stored on the upper aft deck. The mast carries two antennas, two radars and two cameras (one adjustable forward and one aft). The original VSAT dish is now redundant as Starlink has been fitted.
Entering from the aft deck, the starboard side features a full equipped bar with its own refrigerator while a TV sits opposite. Two lounge areas with day heads are arranged on either side. To the front of the salon is a large U-shaped sofa facing a TV, with cabinetry for china and glassware along the sides.
She accommodates up to 12 guests in five ensuite cabins. The full-beam master suite is located on the main deck entering through the starboard corridor and includes a private study, large windows, and a spacious bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Toward the back of the cabin you will find port and starboard walk-in wardrobes.
Below deck, two VIP doubles and two twin cabins with Pullman berths are beautifully finished and exceptionally well laid out. All bathrooms are modern, elegant, and proportionally large for a yacht of this size. The entrance to the lower deck also offers a wine cellar.
On the port side, a generously sized galley is equipped with a walk-in fridge/freezer and two American-style fridge/freezers. The galley also has two ovens, two dishwashers and a microwave.
Forward on the starboard side is the crew mess as well as three double crew cabins accommodating a total of 6 crew, each with its own ensuite shower and WC keeping in regulation with STCW regulations.
Houses the two main diesel engines as well as the two generator sets. The engine room also houses all of the technical equipment and offers a watch station for the engineer.
The transom folds down to form a swim platform and access for the garage. Inside the garage is a tender and jet ski. This space has been partitioned to house the two VEEM zero-speed gyro stabilisers. There is also two washing machines, two dryers, service batteries, a launching ramp and storage for watersports toys such as paddleboards and kayaks.
When it comes to fun on the water, she carries an excellent toy selection including a Williams tender, Sea-Doo jet ski, wakeboard, water skis, snorkelling gear, and inflatables. There is also ample storage and easy launching from the garage and platform.
GEMS II is currently out of class and cannot move under her own power from the dock. She will require some technical and cosmetic updates to return to full operational status, particularly for commercial charter use. That said, her strong bones, unique layout, and timeless aesthetic offer significant value and potential for a new owner ready to invest in a refit.
With her foredeck jacuzzi, expansive 8.6m beam, dual VIPs, open-plan interiors, and stabilisers, GEMS II stands out as a yacht with real personality, comfort, and promise—ready to be brought back to her full glory.
