"FIVE O'CLOCK" is a lightly used, low hour West Bay SonShip 58 pilothouse yacht currently located in Fort Pierce, Florida. The boat is clean inside, outside, and below decks.
The SonShip 58 is a classic Pacific Northwest cruiser built by West Bay, offering sleek styling, luxury accommodations, and performance. At 63' 6" LOA with a 17' 1" beam, the spacious pilothouse interior features three staterooms, a large salon, raised pilothouse, galley, and dinette lounge. All cabins are forward with a lavish full beam master suite, VIP stateroom, and guest/crew cabin. Two full heads and premium systems and appointments throughout. The spacious flybridge comfortably seats eight and features built-in stainless steel cradles for both a tender and liferaft, as well as a 1500 lb capacity davit.
Construction is strong but relatively light for her size range, with an economical cruise of 22 knots and a top end of 25–26 knots. The SonShip 58 can cross the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas quickly or cruise extensively at 10 knots for fuel economy.
As you board via the transom door and swim platform, you are greeted by a stunning teak cockpit sole and stainless framed entry door. The salon offers 360 degree visibility through high wrap-around windows extending forward to the pilothouse. To port is a white American Leather convertible sofa with king mattress and to starboard is a large built-in credenza housing storage lockers, a built-in electrically operated TV lift, and laminate wood salon sole. Forward to port in the salon is another built-in storage unit. Three steps forward lead to the combined pilothouse, galley, and dinette area, again with 360 degree wrap-around window visibility.
To port is the fully appointed galley with full-size stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher, trash compactor, microwave convection oven, and extensive storage. To starboard is a large dinette and lounge with storage underneath. Doors to port and starboard access the side decks. The centerline pilothouse helm offers commanding views and a full array of electronics.
Entry to the cabin area is to the starboard side of the helm. A rounded stairway leads to the three staterooms. Aft is a full beam master stateroom with island bed, extensive built-in storage over and under the berth, ensuite head and shower, built-in concealed washer and dryer, and dual cedar-lined hanging lockers. The VIP stateroom is forward in the bow, featuring an island bed, generous storage, and hanging lockers to port and starboard. The third stateroom is midship to port with large over-and-under bunks, hanging locker, and good storage. A guest and day head to starboard serves the VIP and guest staterooms.
The interior is finished in semi-gloss varnished light wood accented by serene interior appointments in fabrics and colors. The space is bathed in natural light, bright and open throughout, suitable for weekend stays or extended liveaboard cruising.
Flybridge access is via stairway from the pilothouse or via ladder in the cockpit. The helm is centerline with two swivel pedestal helm chairs and companion seats, with wrap-around seating aft of the helm. There is a wetbar to port of the helm station with sink and storage space for an optional refrigerator and icemaker. Helm and all seating areas have covers. Aft on the bridge deck is a 1500 lb capacity davit with stainless steel cradle for a tender and a cradle for a canister liferaft.
The cockpit is roomy with beautiful teak decks, molded-in steps to side decks and salon, a built-in sink, and storage area. There is excellent access to the bright, clean, and spacious engine and mechanical room, which is well lit with good height and plenty of room to work. Aft in the cockpit is a lazarette for additional below-deck storage.
