Overview
About this vessel
The FP48 is a 14.92-metre cruising sailing catamaran designed as an ideal owner’s yacht for extended bluewater adventures. As the successor to the Tanna 47, it brings the latest Fountaine Pajot refinements in layout, equipment and technology while remaining easily manageable with a reduced crew.
The boat’s living spaces are conceived as a single, flowing environment. A three-metre-wide sliding door fully opens to blend the saloon and aft cockpit into one generous social area. At the stern, a waterside relaxation zone offers a meridienne to enjoy the wake in privacy, complemented by a large bench seat and cockpit seating for entertaining. A lounge on the coachroof and optional fully decked-in foredeck sunpads provide multiple vantage points for sunbathing and enjoying the anchorage.
On deck, the FP48 is configured for comfortable cruising with a raised helm station and clear communication between helm, cockpit and flybridge lounging spaces. The cockpit table seats around eight guests, mirroring the generous seating of the coachroof lounge for evenings under the stars. The design encourages easy movement between relaxation, dining and sailing areas so everyone on board can find their preferred spot while remaining connected to the social heart of the boat.
Below, the FP48 is available in several layouts, including the Full Maestro configuration where the entire port hull is dedicated to an expansive owner’s suite. This owner’s hull features a private bathroom and an additional multifunction room that can optionally be converted into a dressing area, creating a level of privacy and comfort rarely seen on a catamaran of this size. Across the range of versions, the FP48 offers between three and four cabins and up to ten berths, making it suitable for owners cruising as a couple as well as with family and friends.
The galley is centrally positioned on the main deck with direct, level circulation to both the cockpit and saloon. It includes an XXL cold storage block, an island hosting bar space and storage, and a forward opening that connects to the foredeck cockpit area. This central galley concept turns the kitchen into the hub of life on board, with easy proximity to the elevated helm for efficient operation while underway.
For energy autonomy, the FP48 is equipped with 2,300 W of latest-generation solar panels fully integrated into the coachroof. These panels support domestic systems and, in the ODSea+ hybrid version, work alongside the electric propulsion system to maximise clean energy usage. Energy flows on board are designed to be simple to manage, allowing owners to enjoy quiet, low-impact cruising and extended time at anchor.
The ODSea+ hybrid configuration pairs twin 25 kW electric motors with a 32 kW generator, a 2 x 27 kWh battery bank, integrated hydrogeneration capability and dual 6 kW inverters. This package offers silent manoeuvring and propulsion under electric power, with the generator and renewables providing backup and recharge capacity. For owners preferring traditional propulsion, the standard mechanical installation features twin 45 hp engines with an 80 hp option available.
The FP48’s Millesime 2026 interior scheme creates a calm, contemporary atmosphere. Light woods, soft textures and gentle colours combine with abundant natural light to deliver a serene onboard ambience. Rounded, enveloping furniture lines, including the bed headboards, add comfort without visual clutter, while recycled textiles underline a commitment to thoughtful material selection.
Across its various layouts and finish options, the FP48 balances performance cruising capability with generous liveaboard comfort. Whether sailing offshore, island-hopping with family or enjoying long stays in remote anchorages, it offers a versatile and refined platform with carefully optimised volumes, ergonomic circulation and a strong focus on convivial spaces.
