About this vessel
Fielding Marine is proud to present Alchera, a beautifully maintained Europa-style sedan cruiser combining classic charm with thoughtful upgrades. Believed to have been built by H&J Griffin in Mona Vale, NSW around 1972, Alchera underwent a comprehensive refit by Frecheville Heaney Boatbuilders in 2010, ensuring she offers timeless styling with modern reliability.
Her cold-moulded triple-planked Oregon hull, sheathed in epoxy, is complemented by elegant teak cabin sides, a raked bow, full-length keel and a tumblehome transom with drop-down gate. She is perfectly suited for exploring the Gold Coast Broadwater, Moreton Bay, Pittwater, Sydney Harbour, the Noosa River and similar waterways.
On deck you will find stainless rails, quality brass detailing and recently refreshed Awlgrip varnishwork. The generous aft cockpit with its drop-down transom gate leads to a beautifully finished interior offering practical accommodation, a convertible saloon, and a well-equipped galley. Fresh and saltwater systems, hot water service, marine toilet, shower to sump pumped overboard, and abundant storage make extended cruising a pleasure.
Over recent years Alchera has benefited from a raft of further enhancements. A custom stainless-steel bowsprit and roller with new stainless anchor and galvanised chain have been fitted. A large teak duckboard has been added, and a complete interior refit now features new custom European double self-closing slide-out rubbish bins and new Sunbrella upholstery throughout. Full-HD Sunbrella canvas covers provide complete protection from rain and sun while moored. The original cabin bulkhead has been removed to create a spacious, unique picnic-boat layout where the skipper is never separated from family and friends.
Alchera's history is one of care and pride, reflected in meticulous slipping records, constant upgrades and thoughtful design. She is ready for immediate inspection and to provide her next owners with years of dependable, enjoyable cruising.
