The Horizon 489 Scorpion Cuddy delivers a versatile mix of family comfort and fishing capability on a compact Hydro Lift hull. With a deep cockpit, high sides and a secure full-height transom, it offers reassuring stability and freeboard for parents with young children while still providing a practical, uncluttered deck layout for serious anglers.

Forward, an aluminium cuddy cabin provides sheltered seating and generous storage beneath the upholstered bunks, with a large opening cabin hatch giving excellent access to the self-draining anchor well. The wrap-around windscreen, split bow rail with bowsprit and welded side decks underline the Scorpion’s offshore-ready design. A fully carpeted floor with underfloor flotation and an 80-litre underfloor fuel tank support longer days on the water.

At the helm, Dometic SeaStar Extreme steering and a Gussi sports wheel pair with pedestal-mounted deluxe seats for secure, comfortable control. A folding upholstered rear lounge with backrest, deep cockpit sides and aft rails enhance passenger comfort, while thoughtfully placed storage – including centre battery storage and side pockets – keeps gear tidy and accessible.

As standard, the 489 Scorpion Cuddy is comprehensively equipped with multiple rod holders, rear boarding platforms, SeaDek non-slip pads on the transom, transducer bracket, external keel and welded cleats.
