The Selene 38 Voyager Aft-cabin is based on the successful Archer design with several technical improvements like Diamond Sea Glaze sliding doors, optional Seakeeper gyro stabilization, Li-Ion batteries, a new electricity management system, a sea-chest for easier maintenance, an optional water maker with high-voltage auto-clean system, etc. This beautiful and charming pocket yacht guarantees privacy for four people or two couples. It is moderate in size, can be hauled out by the smallest Travelift, and can be accommodated in almost any marina worldwide.
Designed by Howard Chen and legendary marine architect Ted Hood, the Selene 38 Aft-cabin features the unique "Whale Back" hull concept, providing spacious headroom and the best engine room layout for its size. Modern features include Diamond Sea Glaze doors, improved sound-proofing, optional air-conditioning, a generator, and larger aluminum fuel tanks for extensive cruising. The interior boasts traditional timber joinery, leather upholstery, teak & holly floors, two cabins, two heads, a cozy salon, practical galley, and safe decks.
This yacht is an excellent family cruiser or a perfect Looper's yacht. A tender fits naturally on top of the aft cabin and can be loaded with a mast and boom. Many Selene 38 models use the mast for a steadying sail, giving it a classic heritage yacht style with a simple, maintenance-free stabilization system. The Selene 38 Voyager Aft-cabin is considered a "small super-yacht," with all the space inside, including a flybridge with an outdoor deck salon, offered at an affordable price.
