About this vessel
Ro/Ro Passenger ferry built in Japan in December 1973. Steel construction, RINA-classed for unrestricted navigation. Full compliance with SOLAS 90 and Stockholm Agreement Criteria. Two-compartment design with Category B voyage rating.
Powered by two N.K.K. Pielstic main engines delivering 19,200 BHP at 510 RPM, with three Daihatsu diesel generators. Service speed of 19 knots. Equipped with bow thruster.
Carries up to 1,300 passengers with 95 passenger cabins across two decks: 19 cabins on Deck 7 and 76 cabins on Deck 5. All cabins feature en-suite WC and shower facilities. Crew accommodation for 131 persons distributed across multiple decks. The vessel features one lift for 900 kg / 7 persons, an Otis escalator system, and full air conditioning throughout.
Cargo capacity of 597 lane meters accommodating 20 x 16 m trucks plus 7 x 12 m trucks and 84 cars, or alternatively 32 x 16 m trucks plus 5 x 12 m trucks. Additional seating with 496 Pullman seats on Deck 6.
Safety equipment includes four lifeboats (2 x 60 persons, 1 x 100 persons, 1 x 112 persons), two rescue boats, and one fast rescue boat. VDR and AIS fitted.
