About this vessel
Ro/Ro passenger ferry delivered in January 1974. Steel construction, classed with Polski Rejestr Statków as KM RO-RO / PASSENGER SHIP [2]. Fully compliant with SOLAS 90. Two main Mitsubishi Heavy Industries diesel engines delivering 20,596 kW each, capable of 22 knots service speed. Four Daihatsu auxiliary generators. Bow thruster fitted.
Two compartments. Cargo capacity across multiple vehicle decks: Deck 5 accommodates 206 cars or 30 trucks with 4.20 m clear height over 1,810 m²; Deck 3 holds 303 cars or 39 trucks with 4.40 m clear height over 2,620 m²; Deck 2 (aft and forward) accommodates 64 cars only with 2.10 m clear height over 752 m². Total passenger capacity of 392 in winter and 990 in summer, with 42 pullman seats. Passenger accommodation in 112 cabins across Deck 8 (43 cabins, 151 beds) and Deck 7 (69 cabins, 186 beds). All cabins equipped with WC and shower. Crew accommodation for 71 persons across 42 cabins.
Full air conditioning throughout. One lift rated for 600 kg / 8 persons. Safety equipment includes two 250-person liferafts (MES Fujikura FS), 42 liferafts of 25 persons each, two lifeboats of 90 persons each, one fast rescue boat, and one rescue boat. VDR and AIS fitted. Operates in GMDSS Area A1+A2+A3 Category B.
