Description
The Sportsman 551 is a scaled-up cuddy cabin version of the 521, offering more internal space and a higher level of standard equipment. It is configured as a versatile offshore fishing and family boat and is supplied as a complete package including a 60 HP Mercury four-stroke outboard and trailer. Approximate hull weight includes motor and trailer.
The boat incorporates a compact cabin with seating, generous cockpit, and robust alloy construction with underfloor buoyancy. It is intended as a capable coastal fishing platform while remaining easily trailerable.
Key features & construction- Marine-grade 3 mm alloy sides and tops with 5 mm plate bottom chines.
- Welded 4 mm tread plate floor with underfloor buoyancy.
- Two portable 25 L fuel tanks for flexibility and ease of refuelling.
- Bow sprit with rope guides and rails and self-draining anchor locker with lid.
- Cuddy cabin with hatch, shelves and two marine-lined ply squabs with storage underneath.
- Four welded alloy rod holders plus side storage for rods and gear.
- Wrap-around Perspex windscreen with helm and passenger footsteps and dash handrail.
- Swivel pedestal seats and large transom locker with twin boarding platforms, handrails and ladder.
- Mercury 60 HP EXLPT four-stroke outboard, fitted and tank tested.
- Single-axle trailer.
- Electrical harness for standard systems, VHF radio and aerial, Lowrance Hook2-7" GPS/Sounder.
- Battery, box and isolator, 1100 GPH bilge pump, navigation and anchor lights.
- Nyalic protective coating inside and out.
