Description
The Sportsman 571 HT is a hardtop evolution of the popular 571 Sportsman cuddy. Developed in response to demand for smaller hardtops, it shares many features with McLay’s top-selling 591 Sportsman Hardtop while using a modified hull to compensate for the hardtop weight. Extensive testing has shown that stability at rest with three adults matches the cuddy version, and ride and handling remain excellent.
The model targets fishers and general boaters seeking a compact, offshore-capable hardtop at a reasonable price. The standard package includes a 90 HP Mercury four-stroke outboard and trailer, with approximate hull weight including motor and trailer.
Key features & construction- 3 mm marine-grade alloy sides and tops with 5 mm plate bottom chines.
- Welded 4 mm tread plate floor with underfloor buoyancy.
- 130 L underfloor fuel tank with sender for extended range.
- Bow keel wear strip, bow sprit with rope guides and rails.
- Cuddy cabin with hatch, shelves and lined dash/half deck for a soft-touch finish.
- Four welded alloy rod holders plus ample storage alongside cockpit.
- Safety glass front windscreen and Perspex side windows in the wheelhouse.
- Large transom storage with hatch covers, Portofino transom with twin platforms, rails and ladder.
- Swivel pedestal seats with upholstery and queen seat extensions.
- Mercury 90 HP EXLPT four-stroke outboard, fitted and tank tested.
- Single-axle trailer.
- Electrical harness, VHF and aerial, Lowrance Hook2‑7" GPS/Sounder.
- Battery system with isolator, 1100 GPH bilge pump, navigation and anchor lights.
- Nyalic protective coating inside and out.
